Jeff Tweedy - Theologians

From his 2006 solo tour, the frontman for Wilco, Jeff Tweedy, performs his own composition, Theologians. I think the guitar sound is inexcusable for a performer of this level, but he more than makes up for it with his beautiful, spot-on falsettos.

Until next time, we'll see you On The Flip-Side!

    2. When I saw Wilco a few years back at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley (great!) it seemed Tweedy had a different guitar brought out for each song, almost to the point of distraction. Not only the that the sounds from song to song were quite different and even hyper-managed. So, I have to conclude that with the foregoing, and since Tweedy has ears that can hear, he wanted a kind of bright, thin, buzzy sound behind these lyrics.

  2. The last time I saw Tweedy on a solo tour, about 3 years ago, he had a semi circle of acoustics around him. Probably 12 guitars in all. He played one guitar, a Gibson, the whole night. Never switched. Who woulda thunk? Maybe he just wants to keep his roadie in business.

    1. Y, when I saw him at Hardly Stictly in 2010 he played a beat up classical guitar the whole time, with no back-up guitars in sight. Another fantastic show. He's on at the festival again this year I believe.
