Original Song Project: Jack Hayden - Long Time Comin'
Here's a song about redemption I wrote while I was living up on the South Yuba River in the little town of Washington. Recorded last week on the same digital recorder used on the busker recordings. I hope you enjoy.
The first time I heard Jack sing this song may have been the moment I fell in love back in 2001. It has remained one of my favorites and every time I hear him singing it I feel grateful that I share a house and life with a fine musician. Twelve years later, he dedicates it to another woman, but I still love him and the song (and the other woman).
Who could help falling in love with that song and the singer . . . good thing I've never met Jack. But any friend of Morgan's is a friend of Morgan's. I've listened to a few of your songs over the years of this blog (if my memory serves me). Thanks for the songs and keep them coming.

ReplyDeletebest comment ever. And I assume that other woman is a little tiny mini-me of you.
DeleteNo, she's not a mini-me! It's outrageous, I know.
DeleteNice work Jack! Impressive.Brings back memories of being down by the Yuba with little kids around.
