Video Diary: Harlem, "Witch Greens"

  1. I saw them in July opening up for Dead Weather at the Warfield. They put on a solid show. Bass, guitar and drums, everyone sings. Pretty straightforward smartpop compositions. The guitarist and drummer switch instruments, but the main drummer is incredible. They're from Tucson, but currently out of Austin.

  2. Vocally there is a similarity to Jack White. I can see why he would choose them for an opening act. Very sympathetic sound. Speaking of which, while in Berkeley the other day, I saw a good one man band. The guy's name was something Robinson. Also Jack White-ish. Seek him out as he would be a good busker candidate.
