Video Diary: Love Sculpture, "Sabre Dance"

Yep, that's Dave Edmunds back in '69 tearing it up on guitar.

  1. Guess I'm supposed to know who Dave Edmunds is...?

  2. Yeah, probably. He had a big hit with "I hear you knockin'" and worked with Nick Lowe on such hits as "Cruel to Be Kind". He and Nick fronted the 70's band Rockpile which was quite good. He also produced/discovered the Stray Cats first album.

  3. I had heard about this but had never actually heard it. Pretty damn spectacular, thanks for posting Morgan. Love that guitar sound, wonder what the amp is? I suspect a Fender dimed across the board.

  4. Well, it's a VOX AC 30 he has in the video but that only hints at what he was carrying with him as this is clearly not a live performance.

  5. Yeah, it definitely isn't a true live video, but I bet you're right--that sound is pretty Vox-y.
